Don’t You Love When Creative, Cool People do Creative, Cool Things?

Youthful Vengeance: Trinity Bellwoods’ Indie Art Hub

We recently popped into Youthful Vengeance in Trinity Bellwoods, greeted by organizers Deirdre McIntoshDavid Choi, and Poppy the dog (our unofficial security). Inside, this indie gallery art space is buzzing with creativity.

Youthful Vengeance is a Toronto Charity on a mission: Helping emerging artists get their work out there. They cover all show costs — rentals, printing, framing — while filling the space with DJs, live performances, workshops, and a cozy café to soak it all in. Volunteers, aka Vengeful Friends, keep the magic alive, many of them artists themselves.

What’s In The Gallery Right Now?

Right now, don’t miss “Soft Return” by Alexandria Masse (until Nov 14). Using crocheted, hand-dyed Canadian wool, Masse captures fleeting emotions in soft sculptures that mix textile, painting, and sculpture. She’s also famous for her “crocheted text messages”, transforming love notes into tactile, letter-by-letter tapestries. She’s shown her work internationally.

YV isn’t just a gallery — it’s a community where art and people thrive. Every last Sunday, their Indie Market brings together handmade goods, music, coffee, and all things creative.
