We already know the UP express is Toronto’s monorail and gets us from Union Station all the way to Pearson Airport in 25 minutes.
But did you know that we can also take the UP express to High Park on Bloor?
How Do I Use The UP To Get To Bloor?
Just take the UP express to Bloor Station. — the first stop after Union. This takes only 8 minutes compared to 30 on the subway.
When you get off at Bloor, follow Bloor street signage from the platform, then follow the rail path. This brings you out to Bloor street. Hang a right and walk down Bloor towards Dundas.
And To High Park?
From here, you can walk the 2kms in about 10-minutes or jump on a city bike which is about a 5 minute ride.
We chose to cycle as the bike lanes on Bloor are great and totally separate from road traffic — and it was a beautiful day.
Once you get to the corner of Bloor and Keele (also known as Bloor and Parkside), you’re there!
Enjoy the park!
We Know It’s Faster Than The TTC, But How Much?
The TTC subway will get you there for just over $3.00. The UP is a little more at $5.65. Just be sure to tap on and off so you aren’t charged all the way to Pearson.
