Raptors’ 15ft Recyclosaurus Invades Toronto

-

A 15′ tall Dinosaur Sculpture made entirely out of junk is making its way across the city and the Raptors are responsible for him.

Partnering with GFL Environmental and Toronto-born artist, Junko, The Toronto Raptors are touring “Recyclosaurus” across the GTA with stops at Scotiabank Arena, The ROM and MLSE Launch Pad.

What’s With This Hunk of Jurassic Junk?

Celebrating Raptors basketball for 30 years and the over 3 million pounds of recyclable materials collected from Scotiabank Arena every year, Recyclosaurus is roaring about its community initiative in sustainability and art.

About the Artist

Junko is known for also creating:

  • 16.5′ Queen Bee in Vancouver made from recycled car parts
  • Animal-Like Sculptures located around Montreal made from tires and bike frames
  • Bug Sculpture made from scrap metal, car parts and old shoes

Visit Recyclosaurus Before He Moves On

Be sure to visit Recyclosaurus before he leaves his home by the escalators at the east side of the Scotiabank Arena.
