Lights, cameras and cones: Hollywood North has parked itself right on our waterfront this week.
WHAT DID WE SPOT?
Our latest @mytorontonews reel caught production vans, a ramp truck, rows of cones and a black tent set up on a brick pier beside open water. Bright “L&F Crew” signs pointed crews to the set.
WHAT ARE THEY FILMING?
That’s the big mystery. Nobody has told us what “L&F” stands for yet. Our reel caption floated 5 possible film projects, but we’re not ready to call it.
IS TORONTO REALLY THAT BUSY?
Absolutely. The Ontario Creates production list for October 2026 shows a long lineup of features and series shooting in Toronto this fall, so spotting a crew by the lake is a happy sign that our city’s screen industry is buzzing.
WHERE CAN YOU EXPLORE WHILE YOU LOOK?
Take a stroll along Queens Quay West and past Harbourfront Centre, where the lake views are perfect for a little set spotting. Please give crews their space and follow any posted signs.
Close by, you can also explore the Waterfront Trail, the Toronto Music Garden and the ferry docks for Toronto Island. Queens Quay Terminal is a great spot to grab a snack and warm up on a chilly fall day.
Seen the L&F Crew signs or spotted a famous face? What’s your guess? Tell us in the comments!
