Looking for an artful way to embrace the final days of winter? Plan a visit to Winter Stations, an international design competition that showcases winning creations on Toronto’s own Woodbine Beach.
Since 2014, Winter Stations has featured 4-6 winning designs across the beach. Each installation is unique in both appearance and purpose, with designs becoming increasingly thoughtful every year.
What Inspired Some of the Installations?
This year, designs were inspired by the theme “Dawn”—a creative exploration of new beginnings, self-reflection, and the beauty in transformation.
For design enthusiasts inspired to enter next year’s competition, entry is free and open to anyone, anywhere in the world!
Contestants are encouraged to promote public interaction and engagement in their pieces, shifting attention to the outdoors during what is typically an “indoor” season.
