They’re On a Mission
A sure sign of cooler weather approaching is the aggression of our city squirrels. You’ll notice these critters are in hyperdrive right now, to collect materials for their nest…unfortunately that includes one follower’s patio furniture this little guy is keen to harvest. And in cities with fewer trees and acorns, the pressure is on. September is also the lead-up to their fall breeding season. That makes them bolder, noisier, and more protective of their hidden storage stashes. So if you’ve noticed our furry friends seeming more aggressive, they’re just on a mission before the cold hits…more active, more territorial and less cautious. We wish this little guy luck as he prepares for his winter home in the upcoming weeks.
