Toronto Has Spoken. This is Our Cookie.

-

Le Gourmand Cafe has killed it in the chocolate chip cookie world and they’ve got the trophy to prove it.

WHO THINKS SO?

This not-so-little cookie not only clean-swept a 2019 contest, but also garnered highest praise from Oprah, Rachael Ray and Martha Stewart.

IS IT REALLY THAT GOOD?

Absolutely. it slays with its lightly crisp exterior and gooey, gushy melting dark chocolate surrounding a softly baked interior.

Paired well with Le Gourmand’s frothy lattes and 85% dark hot chocolates, this little spot on Spadina Avenue also serves up sandwiches and salads in colourful ranges.

Even though this hailed champion takes front space in their glass case, it keeps good company with Le Gourmand’s other versions: Salted caramel, peanut butter and white chocolate macadamia.

WHERE CAN I GET ONE OF THESE BAD BOYS?

Located at 152 Spadina Avenue, north of the Richmond-Spadina corner.

Some other things to explore close to this area are Kensington Market (to the north), Chinatown (East side of Spadina, north of Queen Street) and Graffiti Alley just one block north of the coffee shop. Nearby Queen Street is great for shopping, sushi and other unique stores.
