Curious How Construction is Going? January’s Snowy Mess.

The Ontario Line is a new route, both under and above ground, and will connect seamlessly to Lines 1 and 2 at Queen, Osgoode, and Pape stations.

From Exhibition Place, it’ll pass under Queen Street, through downtown, then above ground to Don Valley Station at Eglinton.

Fully Automatic

Unlike today’s TTC subways, it will employ fully automated operations similar to systems in Vancouver or London.

How Far Below Street Level For Crews?

These hard working crews are below street level by about 40 metres or 130 feet, operating “snow or shine”, yes…even throughout January’s mess… using winter-grade equipment to keep going.

Ghost Station Finally Resurrected

This will tie into the 1950s existing “ghost station” that was never open to the public, locked behind doors in the pedestrian underpass, that is until now. What’s the end target? 2031.
