Ontario’s Great Lakes Waterfront Trail is a significant legacy project that hugs the shores of all 5 of our Great Lakes and Toronto is host to a 50km section of this  amazing 3,600km provincial route.

my-toronto will be showcasing just some of these hiking, cycling and pedestrian trails and today we are going to highlight a 1.5km portion that takes us over Mimico Creek.

We’ll be starting from the Humber Bay Arch Bridge and heading west into this section that carries us over parks, bridgeways, lookouts and marinas. This is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride.

If you’re looking to hike the entire Toronto portion of the Great Lakes waterfront Trail, that would take over 10 hours on foot or approximately 3 hours on a  bike. And we made it!
