$8.9 Million in Gold Went Into Those Towers
The RBC Towers themselves, built between 1976 and 1979, was actually built with 2,500 ounces of real gold inside its 14,000 windows that lead up to its 26 and 46 story floors. That would be worth $8.9 million CDN today!
