The Bay Adelaide Tower is home to the “Two Circles” created by Toronto artist Micah Lexier. This solid black circle looks deceptively simple, but up close reveals jagged cracks, resembling a heartbeat line when viewed closely. A contemplation of everyday life rhythms, much like that of heartbeats or stock market fluctuations.
This and its partner, a white circle, or thin black line, on its opposite side, are installations made of over 1.6 million handmade ceramic or black and white tiles
Both artworks are commissioned through Toronto’s Percent for Public Art Program, where private developments invest in public art. CHeck it out on Adelaide between Bay and Yonge.
