The world’s largest and most influential film festival is back for 2024! Toronto loves TIFF and who can blame us?
TIFF brings 700,000 visitors to Toronto each year, with revenue upwards of $170 million for the city, with an additional $4.37 million in revenue from TIFF’s impact outside of the venue itself. (Think about that, Torontonians, as we begrudgingly deal with the transit closure on King for the festival)
That’s a whole lotta’ star-studded action.
WHY TORONTO?
With 5 major film studios and multiple smaller studios in Tinseltown (or Hollywood North), we are host to over 400 productions every year. Toronto’s vibrant and historic culture is why it has been the hub of the festival since 1976.
Our King Street Strip allows accessibility and easy navigation to multiple theatre venues within a 15 minute walking radius.
HOW CAN I ENJOY TIFF AT NO COST?
TIFF’s King Street is only open to pedestrians so be sure to stroll this star-filled, velvet-roped, red-carpeted glam where your favourite actors and artists mingle with their fans. With tons of booths, displays, pop-ups and fan zones, it’s a great way to be a part of TIFF.
