Toronto’s restaurant scene is as diverse as its people. But like a treasured bottle of wine, the real talent is finding fantastic flavours without a massive price tag to go with it.
And since Toronto is now known as a world-global city overflowing with multicultural cuisine and 15+ Michelin Star restaurants, this is our quest:
Report Happy Hour Hot Spots that embrace cool atmospheres, thrifty pairings and epic hangs with epic people; perhaps gain a foot in the door to places where affluent prices have kept our faces pressed against the glass from the other side of the window.
OUR CRITERIA
VIBE: The overall feel of the place, its patrons and the hosts ushering us through the door.
DEAL: We want a good $5 pint (at least 330ml) and $1/oz wine, but also fancy drinks that have a price reduction. Throw in some good eats, too.
LOCATION: Needs to be in a funky and accessible area inside our Toronto Neighbourhoods.
IDEAL APPEAL: Who would benefit the most from this establishment and its menu.
CRAWL WORTHY: Nearby pubs and restaurants that keep your happy hour crawling.
This quest is an ongoing one, a perpetual search for Toronto’s undervalued holes-in-the-wall, (not so) dingy joints, posh pubs, swanky lounges and greasy spoons.
If it makes our Happy Hour Hot Spots, it’s a place worth checking out. Swing by for updates. In the meantime…Cheers!
