Jesus Sculpture Inviting others to sit with Him

This sculpture of Jesus at St. Paul’s Cathedral was unveiled in 2016 and created by Canadian Artist Timothy Schmalz. Titled, “When I Was a Stranger”, it portrays a robed Jesus in an invitational and contemplative state, asking others to sit upon the bronze stools encircling Him. The artist wanted to speak to the need to care for others in our society.
