Ooh, That Sounds Interesting!
It is!
Recently, my-toronto checked out Brains and Barstools, a rotating location within Toronto…where you pull up a barstool (or more accurately, comfy restaurant seating) and they pull in leading professors and researchers to chat about science, music, wonder, health, phenomena and everything else that gets our brains all fired up.
So Wait. Food, Drinks and…Learning?
Yep. It’s a cool and engaging way to hang out, have casual eats and drinks while giving our minds, hearts and souls a good serving of hearty sustenance…all within a space shared by equally curious people.
This particular night focused on the power of Awe by Professor Jennifer Stellar, Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto and the director of Health, Emotions, and Altruism.
All Right. Give Me the Deets.
So what can you expect at Brains and Barstools? Settle in, order food and drinks, then take in a 45-minute talk.
Prepare for an engaging lecture with possible questions and discussions pairing perfectly with cocktails and local eats. This particular event went down at Oria at 220 King Street. The location does rotate, so be sure to check your ticket on where the next event is taking place.
So if you’re interested in every corner of academia and beyond, pull up a barstool, and your brain and settle in for a casual, warm inviting atmosphere.
