We ambled up the steps to Ossington’s Forget Me Not Cafe and immediately felt at home.
More a living room vibe than a busy cafe, this cozy place sits perched above the bustling sidewalk of this trendy ‘hood.
The two sisters who own both locations (this one at 102 Ossington and another at 506 Adelaide) have created such an inviting and warm energy inside this place.
Born in Canada to Korean parents, the sisters voice their challenges in their online bio; how being raised between two culturally different worlds made it difficult to cultivate a sense of belonging while growing up.
Hosting a community space “where everyone belongs and is not forgotten” is abundantly expressed throughout their cafe in every detail, from the exposed brick wall to the homey decor.
This practise definitely blends into their menu; croissants, scones and treats prepared with focus.
Their silky lattes, flavourful matchas and baked goods are all nestled in this space; awaiting your arrival like an old friend.
