If you’re roaming the 2nd floor terrace of the Royal Bank Plaza, you may be curious about its Urban Farm smack-dab in the heart of our city.
Partnering with EverDale Farm (a teaching farm), RBC has made a home for garden boxes and cultivates spinach, kale, cabbage, strawberries and more.
Where does this bounty go? They donate it to West Neighbourhood House. Their Mission? To “enable less advantaged individuals, families and groups in the community to gain greater control over their lives and within their community”.
Do we live in a fantastic city, or what?
The terrace, open until September, is also a perfect spot to nab a spectacular view of Union’s expansive architecture or chill with a Pilot coffee and street food at its comfy cafe chairs and white umbrellas.
