Happy Hour Hot Spot: CKTL & CO.

-

VIBE

Known as Toronto’s food and drink exchange, CKTL resides in the heart of Bay Street’s financial district.

CKTL plays up TSX practices by pricing drinks according to its own “stock market”. Buy low and sell high is the theme, with beverage ticker tapes running in real-time so guests can purchase and influence their cocktail values. Happy hour items hold no change.

DEAL

WhenMonday to Friday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Beer$7
Wine$7 for 5 oz
Specialty Cocktails$7-$10
Sophisticated Bar Food$5 – $12. The $5 food items are good-sized portions
VerdictWe typically like a full Happy Hour menu to sit around $5 per item in order to land inside our Hot Spots. However, this is a higher-end establishment, so paying a little more for the themed experience may be worth it.

LOCATION

330 Bay Street, Financial District. If you’re in a touristy mood, it’s a 5-minute walk from the Toronto Stock Exchange and you can tour the nearby filming locations of the hit TV series, “Suits”.

IDEAL APPEAL

Business professionals and smartly dressed folk who love a later lunch hour or after-work business vibe while shmoozing clients in a TSX-themed, cozy lounge.

CRAWL WORTHY

Other Happy Hour candidates in this area will be: King Taps, Craft, Walrus, Cactus Club, Rabbit Hole. Stay updated to see which of these makes our Happy Hour Hot Spots.

If you’re up for a 10-minute walk and a fast-food burger that repeatedly hits the top five of Toronto’s best, head over to Rudy’s for their Smash Burger. Greasy, messy goodness.
